The cavalcade of film known as the Travelling Picture Show has been dragged out of the garage, dusted down and oiled and will be heading to Aston Hall for the Birmingham Book Bash. As the name suggests the main focus of this event is on reading and writing, but as well as story-telling and Gruffalos you can find magicians, bhangra-dancers and Nat from Boogie Beebies.

...While in marquee no.2 you can find us showing an assortment of short films and cartoons from all over the place, including:

The Red Balloon - back by special request, the 1950s classic about a boy and his balloon (all ages)

Bugs and Beasts - animated creatures of all shapes and sizes, including ducks, cats and seals (all ages)

Colour Box - some highlights from the recent childrens programme at Flatpack, featuring a disappearing girl in Cherry on the Cake, pictured right (ages 8 and upwards)
