En route to the Kino Climates gathering in Rotterdam, we're putting on an evening of shorts and performance at the very special Nova Cinema in Brussels. The lineup will include:

7inch shorts

A motley assortment of sketches and animations including work by ZX Spectrum Orchestra, Marianna Mørkøre and Jons Mellgren. Mellgren's Dark Island was made at Royal College of Art, a tale of childhood frustrations using cut-out puppets and the ideal warm-up for our main feature.

The cereal-box maestros return with another piece of magical 'live animation'. Using a basic camcorder and a pile of cut-out illustrations they whisk the viewer across the world - in this case to Venezuela, for a retelling of Conan Doyle's tale of intrepid explorers and blood-thirsty dinosaurs. With live accompaniment by littleboat.
